Cool in summer, warm in winter

Over 2000 Williwaw already sold. 5/5 on all reviews

Three years after the first Williwaw (to cool the attic bedroom), we’re at it again (living space) as the hot weather approaches. Quiet, efficient, beautiful…and repairable if ever needed, it’s only the price that makes you hesitate (20% more since 2020, like many things). But when you compare it with other solutions (an air conditioner, for example), the calculation is quickly done. A 15-minute video explains everything. And for the anecdote, as far as after-sales service is concerned, my first contact was remarkable-it was the creator of the device who called me to answer my question live…

Neil (confirmed customer) – July 10, 2023

Bought in 2020, this fan is excellent if not more so. Its first quality is the absence of noise, and its other first quality is a truly refreshing fan. These qualities are particularly appreciated on hot nights. Finally, a remarkable after-sales service. Small breakdown, message left on the Williwaw website, immediate response. Mr. Thirouin came himself and the repair was done in the blink of an eye and free of charge, 3 years after the purchase! Unreserved recommendation.

BAZIN (confirmed customer) – September 12, 2022

We can only confirm the testimonials of other customers, which we endorse 100%, on all points mentioned. Shape, materials, function… The result is nothing but pleasure: for the eye (the shape), for the touch (the materials), for the body (air, air!), for the ear (“silence, ça tourne”)… Now that’s design!

Catherine (confirmed customer) – August 10, 2022

Purchased for the design, the French conception and the silence.
And what silence! What a pleasure not to hear it.
And what beauty…..finally, an object that’s both functional and elegant.
Yes, the price is high…..but you get what you pay for….and that’s great.

Romain (confirmed customer) – August 4, 2023

The fan was ordered just after our visit to the Paris trade fair, and was sent out very quickly, with very simple assembly following the videos.

My daughters were very sceptical about my purchase and now they’re asking me to fit the fan to cool the bedrooms at night, I’m even thinking of making an investment next year for the upstairs. I have no regrets about my purchase, just that I didn’t buy 2 of them!

Suhard (confirmed customer) – August 4, 2022

It’s the third one I’ve bought. We have one for each bedroom, and we no longer have to worry about the heatwave at night.
Not a sound and a breeze that feels good!
We would never have invested in an air-conditioner for ecological reasons, but this product has convinced us. It’s an investment, but well worth it, especially as it also runs in winter in the living room with mezzanine, tempering the room. And what’s more, it’s so beautiful!

Automatic, high-performance destratification

With its pivoting head and remote temperature sensors, it ensures slow, imperceptible convection, automatically triggering in the event of a significant temperature difference between floor and ceiling. Result: 30% heating savings in the room where the Williwaw is installed.

The quietest destratifier

The Williwaw’s 9-blade propeller produces two to three times less noise than its competitors, offering a peaceful solution to scorching nights.

Noise level (to EN60704-2-7) :

  • 33 dB(A) at minimum speed
  • 47 dB(A) at maximum speed

An economical and durable destratifier

With a power consumption of just 5 watts to cool a room, in stark contrast to the 2500 watts consumed by a conventional air conditioner. In short, a motor that’s both powerful and extremely quiet.

Williwaw is the ideal ecological destratification solution for peaceful nights, even in the middle of a heatwave.

Connected destratifier, stylish and pleasant

Its remote control? Your smartphone.

The Williwaw is designed to adapt to your needs, offering a range of ventilation from the lightest breeze to a powerful blast. Its oscillation, adjustable from 45 to 270 degrees over three speeds, allows total customization of the user experience.

Intelligent, the Williwaw is a destratifying fan that can be controlled via a dedicated smartphone app. Available for iOS and Android.

You can remotely adjust its slow, wide airflow, which is both gentle and all-encompassing, guaranteeing an undisturbed feeling of well-being – no more papers flying away!

How does the system work?

The Williwaw’s remote white temperature sensors detect temperature differences between floor and ceiling.

If a discrepancy appears, the Williwaw will attempt to harmonize the temperature by creating vertical convection.

So we’ll :

  • gain in comfort, since the temperature will be uniform.
  • reduce energy consumption, as the heating system’s thermostat will switch off the heating more often

All easily controlled and programmable via a smartphone app.

Perhaps the most durable item in your home

Made from steel, beech and polycarbonate, and assembled using only screws, Williwaw is built to last.

Every part is replaceable, the propeller is removable and dishwasher-safe, and the mechanical components come with a 10-year warranty.

In the company

By moderating the temperature, Williwaw eliminates overheated or over-cooled spaces, improving comfort in open spaces, conference rooms or offices. Even at reduced speed, it provides a pleasant sensation of freshness for occupants.

Reduce temperature variations in high spaces in winter

The Williwaw destratifying fan is the only credible alternative to air conditioning , considerably reducing your electricity consumption and avoiding costly installations.

The warranty

By opting for polycarbonate, a material used in bulletproof glass, for almost all of its plastic components, as well as for formed or machined metal and beech, and by favoring exclusively screwed assembly, this design approach gives the Williwaw :

  • 10-year warranty on mechanical components;
  • a 2-year warranty on all electronics.

Note: repair at cost price of the faulty board by simple exchange, since the links are made by connectors and not by soldering.

Williwaw's assembly session is a piece of cake

Destratifiers reduce heating costs by distributing accumulated warm air upwards and downwards, thus reducing the workload on the heating system. Let’s take a heated space with an annual bill of €1,500. Without a destratifier, the distribution is uneven, with hot air at the top and cold air at the bottom. Using the Williwaw fan destratifier, the air is stirred, reducing the need for excessive heating. With 30% savings, the new bill would be €1050, i.e. a saving of €450 per year, and €430 taking into account the consumption of the Williwaw. What’s more, you’ll save energy in summer too! With the Williwaw, you don’t have to buy a greedy air conditioner, and this single low-energy appliance saves you money all year round. The table below shows the Williwaw savings for cooling a 40m2 room with a 4m ceiling height.
When choosing a destratifier, consider the type of fan you need (cooling a small room or a larger area). Look for adjustable power to vary air flow, from light breeze to turbo for intense cooling. Dyson, Rowenta, and Honeywell offer low-noise options, but the Williwaw remains the quietest, ideal for sleeping or working discreetly. Check out features like timer, adjustable rotation and orientation, and for the more demanding, air purification technologies. All these options are included with Williwaw. In short, opt for a model that’s quiet, easy to move and with convenient controls, for maximum everyday comfort.
Assembly is simple and takes just a few minutes. Here is a summary of the assembly instructions in key points:
  1. Open the box and prepare all components: triangular piece, cable spool, recycled paper shell, ballast, elastomer foot, wooden foot segments, white cylinder with orange rings and cable clamp.
  2. Unwind 1 metre of cable and feed it through the orange ring into the ballast, then through the wooden foot segment to the ballast.
  3. Thread the cable through the white cylinder and the additional wooden foot segments, checking that the segments are well drilled.
  4. Connect the cable to the socket at the bottom of the foot mounting well and thread on the remaining wooden foot segments, carefully aligning and tightening the orange rings.
  5. Assemble the Williwaw pivot, adjust the orange bushes and fit the wooden frame, aligning the grooves with the ribs on the bushes.
  6. Install the orange stiffeners under the cable and in the wooden foot segments, pushing them in as far as the middle stop.
  7. Finalize assembly by fitting the triangular shelf, additional weight and elastomer foot; download the Williwaw app and recycle the packaging.
To see the full video, please consult our leaflet.
  1. Unplug your Williwaw and place the head of the Williwaw horizontally.
  2. Use a coin to press and turn the latch to release the gate. Give a light tap to release the grille from its slot.
  3. Remove the grille by rotating the piece and the notch at the top of the Williwaw head, then remove the protective grille.
  4. Unscrew orange part clockwise and remove washer and propeller
  5. Williwaw propeller and grids are dishwasher-safe
  6. Once clean, return the propeller to its place and place the cone washer downwards.
  7. Screw the orange part in counter-clockwise, then replace the grille, starting from the bottom, to slide it into its notch.
  8. Check that the grille is firmly seated and, using a coin, press and turn the lock to secure the grille.

Quiet, it’s spinning!

A destratifier is a ventilation device designed to homogenize the interior temperature of a room by reducing air stratification. It works by moving warm air stored in the ceiling downwards, allowing even distribution of heat or coolness. This device is particularly useful in large spaces or rooms with high ceilings, improving thermal comfort and reducing electricity consumption for heating or air conditioning.

Usually, a destratifier should be installed on the ceiling, in the center of the room or in a strategic location where air stratification is most important.

As the Williwaw is a fan AND destratifier, all you have to do is point it towards the ceiling to enjoy its effects.

Note that the Williwa also works for living spaces with very high ceilings. If you opt for conventional ceiling-mounted models, you’ll need to choose one fitted with an extension rod that can be used to adjust the height of the destratifier, optimizing its efficiency according to ceiling height and ensuring better air circulation throughout the area.

The Williwaw can be placed at the bottom or top, the important thing being to position it on the “circuit” that the airflow will make to push the warm air that accumulates on the ceiling down the walls.

The number of destratifiers needed per room depends on the size of the space, the ceiling height, and the efficiency of the model chosen. For most standard residential or office rooms, a single, correctly sized, quality destratifier is sufficient to ensure even distribution of hot or cold air. In larger spaces or with complex configurations, several units may be needed to achieve the desired effect.
The main difference between a destratifier and a fan lies in their operation and purpose. A destratifier aims to homogenize the temperature in the room by moving warm air down from the ceiling, while a fan creates a flow of cool air to cool occupants without necessarily altering the thermal distribution of the space. Fans can be used to create a breeze or reduce the perceived temperature, while destratifiers work on air distribution to improve overall thermal comfort. Williwaw does both, you just have to choose the orientation.
To cool a room without using air conditioning, set your Williwaw fan to summer mode to create a flow of cool air and increase evaporation on the skin, lowering the perceived temperature. Opening windows during the coolest hours of the day or night to allow fresh air in, and using blinds or curtains to block direct sunlight can also help reduce indoor temperatures naturally.
