It is the perfect eco-friendly ventilation for deep, peaceful sleep, even during heatwaves.

They stay cool without any background noise

Over 2,000 Williwaw fans sold. 5/5 stars on all reviews.

After more than a month of use, including several very hot nights, the whole family is convinced. It is truly silent without compromising on the power needed to stay cool during high heat.

The attention to detail is evident: the blue light on the main button that turns off after a few seconds, the spiral grille, the tabs that allow for perfect oscillation adjustment, and all the app features.
A great product from every angle, which made us give up on air conditioning.

We can only confirm the testimonials of other customers, which we 100% agree with on every point mentioned. Form, materials, function… The result is pure pleasure: for the eyes (the design), the touch (the materials), the body (fresh air!), and the ears (“silence, it’s running”)… This is true design!

Bought for the design, the French engineering, and the silence. And what silence! What a joy not to hear it.

And what beauty… finally an object that is both functional and elegant.

Yes, the price is high… but you get your money’s worth… and that’s great.

The Williwaw fan I bought at the start of summer 2020 is just perfect! Its noise level is incredible; you have to see it running to believe it.

The app system and sensors also make it ultra-simple to use. Besides being a beautiful product, it is highly functional.

Assembly is easy and the customer service is top-notch!

This is the third one I’ve bought. We have one in each bedroom and no longer face heatwaves with the same dread at night.
Not a sound and a breeze that feels so good!
We would never have invested in AC for ecological reasons, but this product convinced us. It’s an investment, but one that is well worth it, especially since it also runs in the living room with the mezzanine during winter to balance the temperature. And on top of that, it’s so beautiful!

Rated 5.00 out of 5 based on 52 customer reviews

How is such a low noise level possible?

Williwaw’s 9-blade propeller generates two to three times less noise than its rivals, providing a peaceful solution for heatwave nights.

Noise level (according to EN60704-2-7 standard):

  • 33 dB(A) at minimum speed
  • 47 dB(A) at maximum speed

Destratification mode for energy savings

Equipped with an adjustable head and external temperature sensors, it ensures gentle and silent convection, automatically activated when there is a significant temperature difference between floor and ceiling.

This results in a 30% reduction in heating costs in spaces where Williwaw is used.

Control the airflow remotely

Its remote? Your phone.

Adjustable to your preferences, Williwaw offers a variety of airflows, from a light breeze to a strong wind. With an oscillation range from 45 to 270 degrees and three speeds, it offers a fully customizable experience.

This smart fan-destratifier is controlled via a dedicated mobile app, compatible with iOS and Android.

It allows for remote adjustment of its wide and slow, soft and enveloping airflow for optimal comfort without the annoyance—no more flying papers!

Completely silent, built to last

Crafted from steel, beechwood, and polycarbonate, and assembled exclusively with screws, Williwaw promises remarkable longevity.

All parts are replaceable, the propeller is detachable and dishwasher-safe, and a 10-year warranty covers the mechanical components.

Ideal for business environments

By regulating temperature, Williwaw eliminates hot and cold spots, enhancing comfort in open spaces, conference rooms, and offices.

Even at full power, its high-performance motor ensures zero distraction for employees who need to focus. They can simply enjoy a perfectly tempered atmosphere.

An unprecedented warranty

  • a 10-year warranty on mechanical components;

An innovative French creation

My name is Stéphane Thirouin. I am a designer passionate about creating objects that are useful, durable, and aesthetically pleasing.

Faced with a stifling heatwave and determined to avoid air conditioning for ecological reasons, yet unsatisfied with the performance of existing fans, I decided to design Williwaw—a fan that is silent, powerful, energy-efficient, and built to last.

Assembling Williwaw is a total breeze

Assembly is quick, taking only a few minutes.

Summary of the assembly steps:

  1. Open the box and organize the components: triangular piece, cable reel, recycled paper shell, weight, elastomer base, wooden base pieces, white cylinder with orange rings, and cable stopper.
  2. Extend 1 meter of cable, pass it through the weight, through the orange ring, then through the wooden base piece toward the weight.
  3. Insert the cable into the white cylinder and the other wooden base pieces, ensuring they are properly aligned.
  4. Plug the cable into the socket at the bottom of the base and add the other wooden base pieces, aligning and tightening them with the orange rings.
  5. Assemble the pivot, adjust the orange rings, and build the wooden structure, aligning the notches and the ridges of the rings.
  6. Place the orange stiffeners along the cable and into the wooden base pieces until they are halfway in.
  7. Finish by putting the triangular piece, the additional weights, and the elastomer base in place. Download the Williwaw app and recycle the packaging.

According to the consumer group UFC Que Choisir, some fans offer a “night” or “silent” option: this simply corresponds to the lowest speed and can reach noise levels around 40-45 dB(A). Yet, despite being the most powerful fan, the Williwaw’s night option emits only 33 dB(A) and 47 dB(A) at maximum speed.
The choice of airflow for a silent fan depends primarily on the size of the room to be cooled and the desired cooling intensity. In general, an airflow measured in cubic meters per hour (m³/h) that corresponds to at least 3 to 5 times the volume of the room ensures effective cooling. Williwaw in turbo mode can cover up to 170m² (a distance of 8.5 meters over 270° of rotation).
No, it depends on the specific design of the fan and the technology used. Tower fans can be designed to be particularly quiet while providing good air circulation due to their elongated shape and operating mode, which distributes air vertically. However, the noise level is mainly influenced by:
  1. the quality of the motor,
  2. the number of blades.
Additionally, noise reduction technologies and speed settings play a role. Thus, while some tower fan models may indeed be quieter than other fan types, a fan with multiple blades and a high-end motor will be even quieter.
Without going into the details of blade orientation and size, the volume of air moved increases with the number of blades. As a result, to move the same volume of air, the motor of a 3-blade fan must spin about 3 times harder than that of a 9-blade fan, generating much more vibration and therefore more noise.
