Three years after our first Williwaw (to cool down the attic bedroom), we’re doing it again for the living area as the heatwaves approach. Quiet, efficient, beautiful… and repairable if ever needed. The price is the only hesitation (up 20% since 2020, like everything else). But when you compare it to other solutions (like AC), the math is simple. For assembly, a video explains everything in 15 minutes. And as an anecdote, the after-sales service was remarkable—the creator of the device called me personally to answer my question directly…

Purchased in 2020, this fan is excellent and then some. Its primary quality is the silence; its other primary quality is a truly refreshing airflow. These qualities were particularly appreciated during all those heatwave nights. Finally, remarkable customer service. A minor fault, a message left on the Williwaw site, and an immediate response. Mr. Thirouin came out himself and the repair was done in a blink and at no cost, 3 years after purchase! I recommend it without reservation.

We can only confirm the testimonials of other customers, which we fully agree with on every point. Shape, materials, function… The result is pure pleasure: for the eyes (the shape), for the touch (the materials), for the body (fresh air at last!), and for the ears (“silence, it’s running”)… Now, that is design!

Purchased for the design, the French engineering, and the silence.
And what silence! What a joy not to hear it.
And what beauty….. finally an object that is both functional and elegant.
Yes, the price is high….. but you get what you pay for…. and that is great.

Fan ordered just after our visit to the Paris Fair, ultra-fast shipping and very simple assembly following the videos.
My daughters were very skeptical about my purchase and now they ask me to set up the fan to cool the bedrooms for the night; I’m even thinking of investing in one for the upper floor next year. Following my purchase, I have no regrets—only perhaps that I didn’t buy two!!!

This is the third one I’ve bought. We have one per bedroom and we no longer approach heatwaves with the same dread at night.
Not a sound and a breeze that feels so good!
We would never have invested in air conditioning for ecological reasons, but this product convinced us. It’s an investment, but it’s well worth it, especially since it also runs in the winter in the living room with its mezzanine to balance the room temperature. And on top of that, it’s so beautiful!

The 9-blade propeller of the Williwaw produces two to three times less noise compared to its competitors, providing a peaceful solution for sweltering nights.
Sound level (according to EN60704-2-7 standard):
With a consumption of only 5 watts to cool a room, contrasting sharply with the 2500 watts consumed by a traditional air conditioner. In short, a motor that is both powerful and extremely quiet.
Williwaw is the ideal ecological destratification solution for peaceful nights, even during a heatwave.
Its remote control? Your smartphone.
Williwaw is designed to adapt to your needs, offering a ventilation range from the lightest breeze to a powerful gust. Its oscillation, adjustable from 45 to 270 degrees across three speeds, allows for a fully customized user experience.
Smart by design, Williwaw is a controllable destratifier fan via a dedicated smartphone app. Available for iOS and Android.
You can remotely adjust its slow, wide airflow—both gentle and enveloping—ensuring a sense of well-being without disturbance; no more flying papers!
Williwaw’s white remote temperature sensors allow it to detect temperature differences between the floor and the ceiling.
If a difference appears, Williwaw will attempt to harmonize the temperature by creating vertical convection.
This leads to:
Everything is easily controllable and programmable via a smartphone application.
Crafted from steel, beechwood, and polycarbonate, and assembled exclusively with screws, Williwaw is built to last.
Every part is replaceable, the propeller is removable and dishwasher-safe, and mechanical components are backed by a 10-year warranty.
Significantly reduce your electricity consumption and avoid costly installations: the Williwaw fan-destratifier is the only credible alternative to air conditioning.
By using polycarbonate—a material found in bulletproof glass—for nearly all plastic parts, along with formed or machined metal and beechwood, and by favoring an exclusively screwed assembly, this design approach provides Williwaw with:
Note: faulty boards are repaired at cost via simple exchange, as connections use connectors rather than soldering.
2 height options to choose from before assembly based on the number of leg segments:
What else?
Assembly without clipping, gluing, or welding. 115 screws ensure robustness and enable full repairability.
A Williwaw projects its airflow up to 8.5m (28 ft) and oscillates up to 270 degrees. It effectively covers a surface area of 170 m2 (1,830 sq ft).
My name is Stéphane Thirouin. I am a designer driven by the creation of objects that are useful, durable, and aesthetically pleasing.
Faced with a stifling heatwave and determined to avoid air conditioning for ecological reasons, I was unsatisfied with the performance of existing fans. I decided to design Williwaw: a fan that is silent, powerful, energy-efficient, and built to last.
Assembling Williwaw is a breeze

Usually, a destratifier must be installed on the ceiling, in the center of the room or in a strategic spot where air stratification is most significant.
Since Williwaw is both a fan AND a destratifier, you simply need to point it toward the ceiling to enjoy its effects.
Note that Williwaw also works for living spaces with very high ceilings. If you opt for classic ceiling-mounted models, you would need to choose one equipped with an extension rod to adjust the height, optimizing efficiency based on the ceiling height and ensuring better air circulation throughout the area.
Williwaw can be placed at the bottom or top of a room; the key is to position it within the air flow “circuit” to push the warm air accumulating at the ceiling back down along the walls.
