Three years after our first Williwaw (for a bedroom under the eaves), we’ve bought another one for our living space as summer approaches. Silent, efficient, beautiful… and repairable if ever needed. The price is the only thing that makes you hesitate (20% more since 2020, like many things), but when compared to other solutions like AC, the choice is clear. For assembly, a video explains everything in 15 minutes. As for after-sales support, my first experience was remarkable—the creator of the device called me himself to answer my question directly…

Purchased in 2020, this fan is excellent and then some. Its primary quality is silence; its other primary quality is a truly refreshing breeze. These qualities were particularly appreciated during heatwave nights. Finally, a remarkable after-sales service. A minor fault, a message left on the Williwaw site, and an immediate response. Mr. Thirouin came himself, and the repair was done in a heartbeat at no cost, 3 years after purchase! I recommend it without reservation.

I received mine last Thursday and I already can’t live without it!
Turning it on is the first thing I do when I get home, whether it’s hot or not. Silent and powerful, it adds a touch of comfort to my interior.
Julien C (Verified Customer) – June 17, 2019
Received yesterday. Assembled in 10 minutes (it would have been faster if I had watched the video, obviously…). Otherwise, a magnificent product, truly powerful and silent.
You can also feel the attention to every detail, and that is a real pleasure…
Nicolas M (Verified Customer) – June 8, 2019
After more than a month of use, including several very hot nights, the whole family is convinced.
It is truly silent without compromising on the power needed to cool down during high heat.
Arnaud J (Verified Customer) – September 30, 2020
Ordered the fan right after visiting the Paris Fair; ultra-fast shipping and very simple assembly following the videos.
My daughters were very skeptical about my purchase, and now they ask me to bring the fan up to cool the bedrooms for the night. I’m even thinking of investing in another for the upper floor next year. I have no regrets about my purchase—except maybe not buying two!
Suhard (Verified Customer) – August 4, 2022
This is the third one I’ve bought. We have one in every bedroom, and we no longer fear heatwaves at night.
Dead silent with a breeze that feels amazing!
We would never have invested in air conditioning for ecological reasons, but this product won us over. It is an investment, but it’s well worth it—especially since it also runs in the living room with the mezzanine during winter to balance the temperature. And on top of that, it looks beautiful!

Consuming only 5 watts to cool, compared to 2,500 watts for an air conditioner, Williwaw features a powerful and silent motor.
It is the ecological solution for peaceful nights, even during a heatwave.
Williwaw’s 9-blade impeller produces two to three times less noise than its competitors, providing a peaceful solution for hot nights.

Its strengths? Connected, stylish, and comfortable.
The remote? Your smartphone.
Williwaw adapts to your needs, ranging from a gentle breeze to a strong wind. With an oscillation from 45 to 270 degrees and 3 speeds, it ensures a tailor-made experience.
Controlled via a mobile app for iOS and Android, Williwaw is a smart fan and destratifier.
Adjust its wide, slow airflow remotely for optimal comfort without the mess—no more flying papers!
Equipped with an adjustable head and external temperature sensors, it ensures gentle and silent convection, automatically activating when there is a significant temperature difference between the floor and ceiling.
This results in a 30% reduction in heating costs within the space occupied by Williwaw.
Williwaw’s temperature sensors detect heat differences between the floor and ceiling. When a gap is identified, it creates convection to balance the temperature.
This improves comfort and reduces energy consumption by allowing the heating to cut out more often. Control and scheduling are easily managed via the mobile app.
Crafted from steel, beechwood, and polycarbonate (the same material used for bulletproof glass), and assembled with screws, Williwaw is built to last.
Every part is interchangeable, the propeller is dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning, and the mechanical components are backed by a 10-year warranty.
By balancing room temperature, Williwaw eliminates hot or cold spots, enhancing comfort in open spaces, meeting rooms, or individual offices.
Even at low speeds, it provides a refreshing breeze without disturbing papers on your desk.
Truly sustainable. By choosing polycarbonate—the material used for bulletproof glass—for its plastic parts, along with metal and beechwood, and opting for screw assembly, Williwaw features:
Furthermore, in the event of a failure, the electronic board is replaced at cost. The use of connectors instead of soldering makes repairs simple and efficient.
2 possible heights to choose from during assembly depending on the number of leg segments:
What else?
Assembly requires no clipping, no gluing, and no soldering.
Hidden from view, 115 screws ensure structural integrity and full repairability.
A single Williwaw projects its airflow up to 8.50 meters (28 ft) and oscillates up to 270 degrees, covering a surface area of 170 m2 (1,830 sq ft).
I am Stéphane Thirouin, a designer driven by the passion to create objects that are useful, durable, and aesthetically pleasing.
Facing an oppressive heatwave and wanting to avoid air conditioning for ecological reasons—yet disappointed by the performance of available fans—I set out to develop Williwaw: a fan that combines silence, power, energy efficiency, and longevity.
Assembling your Williwaw is a breeze
Henry Grimaud, Journal Les Numériques article du 07/08/22
Destratifiers like Williwaw optimize heating by redistributing warm air from the ceiling down to floor level, reducing the load on your heating system.
In a space with an annual heating bill of €1,500, the absence of a destratifier leads to uneven air distribution, with heat trapped at the top and cold air at the bottom.
Using Williwaw mixes the air, limiting the need to overheat. This leads to 30% savings, bringing the bill down to €1,050—a reduction of €450 per year. Even accounting for Williwaw’s power consumption, the net savings are €430.
The benefits extend into summer; Williwaw eliminates the need for energy-hungry air conditioning, offering annual savings thanks to its low power consumption.
Here is an overview of the savings achieved with Williwaw to cool a 40m² space with a 4m ceiling height.
An air circulator, a destratifier, and a fan all aim to improve thermal comfort, but they differ in how they operate and their specific uses.
A fan creates a directed airflow toward a specific area, providing an immediate cooling sensation on the skin through sweat evaporation. It is ideal for targeted, personal cooling.
Air circulators are often used for industrial purposes. Their goal is to mix the air in an entire room, promoting uniform temperature and air distribution. This reduces temperature gradients across a space, making it more comfortable overall.
An air circulator is designed to move large volumes of air across a room or open space, creating a fresh breeze that improves the sensation of comfort without actually lowering the ambient temperature. It is ideal for ventilating and cooling large areas due to its ability to circulate air efficiently.
With its capacity to move high volumes of air, an air circulator is often used in larger spaces or for industrial applications, whereas a fan is better suited for home or office use.
A destratifier, on the other hand, is designed to homogenize the temperature in a space by redistributing the warm air accumulated near the ceiling back down to the floor, reducing the temperature difference between stratified air layers. This not only improves thermal comfort but also generates energy savings, particularly in heated spaces, as it reduces the need for additional heating.
To clean your Williwaw, follow these steps:
Your Williwaw is clean and ready to go!
Air Conditioning | Williwaw | |
|---|---|---|
Purchase + installation costs | €5,350 | €999 |
Monthly electricity cost | €5,984 | €953 |
Total cost over 1 year | €6,705 | €969 |
Total cost over 5 years | €120.96 | €1.01 |
Position the Williwaw fan strategically to optimize air circulation in the room.
For optimal comfort, ideally place it away from walls to allow air to circulate freely.
In summer, orient it to create a direct cool airflow toward living areas. For heat distribution in winter, set it to destratification mode near a heat source to circulate the warm air accumulated at the ceiling.
Placement can vary depending on the season and your space’s layout.
Choosing the ideal fan involves considering several criteria, including power, noise level, and additional features like timers or rotation.
However, in the market (compared to Dyson, Rowenta, and Honeywell), Williwaw excels through its discretion, aesthetics, and power.
For effective cooling, check the airflow rate and the ability to adjust between different speeds. The price will reflect the technology, features offered, and product durability.
Silent fans are ideal for working or sleeping undisturbed, with models adjustable in height or orientation ensuring absolute comfort.
The number of Williwaw fans required per room varies according to the size of the space, ceiling height, and the device’s efficiency.
Thanks to its high power, a standard home or office room only needs a single, well-positioned Williwaw to uniformly distribute warm or cool air.
For large spaces or those with complex layouts, it may be necessary to install multiple units to achieve optimal efficiency.
